What a Difference a Year Makes

This time last year, we attended Jacob's spring program at school. As the kids eagerly made their way down the center isle, Jacob announced, "I'M NOT GUNNA SING!" And he didn't. His mouth didn't open once. His hands didn't leave his side. And at the end of the program, he was as proud as a peacock.

This year, however, we got to enjoy Jacob in his full performance glory. He sang (and knew all the words). He did the motions (some were more animated than others). And he was one handsome little devil up there...quite the heartthrob!

It's hard to believe that his 2nd year of preschool is almost over! He's learned to write his first and last name. He can count to 100 and beyond (and often wants us to listen to him do it). He's begun reading, sounding out words, and figuring out how to spell. He's one smart cookie! And we couldn't be prouder!
