The Webster Dictionary defines "thanksgiving" as...
"a public acknowledgment or celebration of divine goodness"
What a great definition!
So, here is our public acknowledgment of the Divine blessings we experienced during our Thanksgiving:
Not only was it Thanksgiving, but it was also Brenna's birthday...she turned 5!!!

Auntie Jamie & Grandma Teresa

Aunt Jess & Uncle Chad
On Friday morning, we had the Prentice's up for a brunch at our house. Unfortunately, Nana wasn't feeling well, so we were one short. But she was with us in spirit...and occassionally on the phone. Jacob & Sophia loved having their cousins, Ellie & Nolan, over and they all took turns sharing toys. And soon there will be another Prentice...Molly is due on Saturday...and we're anxious to meet our new nephew!

A few years ago, we started a tradition of heading up to the Prentice cabin in Aitkin, the Friday after Thanksgiving. Nisswa, a town nearby, has a special "Lighting of the Town" festival. They have bonfires, hot apple cider, mini donuts, Santa Claus, horse-drawn carriage rides...the list goes on. And then, at 5:29, the whole crowd gathers in the street to count down the lighting of the town...symbolizing the official start of the Christmas season.

And for those who weren't there, here's a glimpse of what it's like to countdown to the lighting!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
Looks soo fun! What a great day!
