A Bike with Pedals!

Part of our leverage to get Jacob potty trained was to bribe him with a big boy bike. Grandma & Papa offered to give it to him as a birthday gift...assuming he was potty trained in time. That was enough motivation for Jacob! Up until now, Jacob was riding a bike with no pedals (it's supposed to help kids learn their balance before moving to a bigger bike). Every time Jacob would see a kid ride by on a bike, he'd say, "WOW!! They're so lucky! They have a bike with pedals!" And for his birthday, he finally got a bike with pedals. So, this morning, the first thing he did when he woke up was run outside and try out his big boy bike. Here are a few shots of his first big boy bike experience:
