For the past 2 years, Jacob's school has put on a Christmas program for parents and grandparents. Last year, Jacob REFUSED to sing or do any hand motions (I figured he just wasn't interested in being part of the spot-light...unlike his mom!). He stood on the risers like a scrooge and only showed a glimmer of Christmas spirit when they announced they were having birthday cake for Jesus.
What a difference a year makes! Jacob was super excited to perform...and he was especially excited to sing "Joy to the World"! It's amazing how uncoordinated hand motions and off-key singing really brings joy to my heart.
P.S. If you can't find Jacob, he's the one in the blue button-down shirt & tie...right in the front.
