The Prentice Curse?

Once upon a time (20 years ago to be exact), there was a little girl (let's call her "Christine") who loved to jump on trampolines. Not the little ones, but the REALLY big ones. Now, this particular little girl liked to jump as high as she could, and asked her friends to jump onto the trampoline at the same time in order for her to soar into the air. And that's exactly what happened. Unfortunately, the landing wasn't quite as fun as the take-off, and she broke her arm.

3 years later, the same girl (now let's call her "Stupid"), opted to try the same trick on another trampoline, in order to impress a couple boys. The take-off was glorious! But, the landing was trecherous, and she broke her arm again. From that point on, she was banned from jumping on trampolines.

Fast forward 19 years....the little girl was all grown up and had a little boy of her own (let's call him "Jacob"). Jacob was sweet, but curious. And loved to explore...especially behind Nana & Bapa's couch. One day, he tripped over a phone cord and...
OUCH...a broken femur.

Fast forward a year & a half. The young girl now had a girl of her own. A precocious, spirited little thing who loved to keep up with her brother (let's call her "Sophia"). While playing upstairs, Sophia tripped on her own feet and...

OUCH...a broken elbow.

Some people would call this bad luck. I like to refer to it as the Prentice Curse...or, more appropriately, the Prentice Clutsiness. (I haven't even mentioned the accidents of my Dad's or Grandpa's...probably too many to count). Either way, it seems Jacob & Sophia have taken after the Prentice side afterall!
