Our litte boy isn't so little anymore. This past weekend, we celebrated his 7th birthday!!!
From the moment he could talk (which was early and often!), he has been asking for a dog.
The breed, the color, the gender...none of it mattered. There is something to be said for a boy who, at such a young age, grasps the concept of unconditional love.
So after 6+ long years of asking and asking and asking...
we finally said YES!
We decided to surprise him and set up a little scavenger hunt.
His first task was to go to his favorite restaurant and order his favorite meal.
The Tavern had no idea this kid would eat them out of house and home when he ordered the kids buffet!
The 2nd task was to go to Tutti Frutti and order his favorite frozen yogurt with toppings.
Pina Colada yogurt with blackberries and Nerds.
Task 3 was to direct Dad to an unfamiliar house, ring the doorbell, and introduce himself to the person who answered the door.
She asked him to sit on the front step, and she emerged with this...
He was totally shocked and ecstatic! "Pinch me, Mom, because this HAS to be a dream!"
When we arrived home, all our family and close friends were there to ring in his birthday and meet the newest addition to the family.
