It seems like just yesterday, we were sending Jacob off on the bus to his first day of Kindergarten.
A lot has changed in the past school year. The biggest change was our decision to pull him from the local public school and send him to Calvin.
We have seen him grow into a stronger leader, an enthusiastic friend, a phenomenal reader, and most importantly, a true heart for following the Lord!
This kid is going to move mountains!!

Each Kindergartener is assigned an 8th Grade partner.
The 8th grader comes into the classroom twice a month to help the Kindergarten students with writing assignments, projects and other school work. Jacob's partner was Brian.
Jacob often talked about Brian and today we got the opportunity to see what a special guy he was.
Despite his graduation the night before, and the opportunity to sleep in today, he showed up at school to cheer on Jacob as he graduated. Then gave him a super cool cross necklace and a super sweet note of encouragement to Jacob. Jacob was truly blessed to have such a neat kid to look up to this year!

They always had special projects that challenged Jacob. They listened to his never-ending stories. They encouraged him to pursue his dreams, and they loved him!
CONGRATULATIONS, Jacob!!
We are so proud of the young man you are becoming.
Can't wait to see what 1st grade brings!
