One of the great things about Craig's family is that they provide a different perspective on life than my family can give. I love that our kids can have grandparents in the city and grandparents in the country. And the best part? Neither set of grandparents are more than 40 minutes away!
Every year, Grandma & Papa organize a hayride on their farm. It's so fun to board a huge trailer filled with hay bales, attached to a big red tractor and ride through the woods and fields near their house. No one is left out...even the dogs jump on.
All the kids get the chance to ride with Papa, and the older kids even get an opportunity to steer. The adults sit around and talk, laugh, and watch the kids jump on and off the hayride, giggling the whole time.
Afterwards, a huge bonfire is lit and we spend the night eating great food, staring up at a sky FULL of stars, and enjoy some great conversation.
