In late June of 2008, Craig told me about an interview with a medical device company. It was a job he really wanted, but didn't know if he could get because of his short stint in the medical/pharmaceutical industry. But he went for it anyway, and within 4 short weeks, he was hired on. And he started a 6 week training whirlwind that took him all over the country.
After a couple months of tough transition, he made a goal to be Rookie of the Year in 2009. A goal that was certainly attainable, if you know anything about Craig. But the goal that shocked me was that he also wanted to place in the Top 5 sales reps for the entire company! A very tough thing to do with a company full of competitive sales reps.
Last week, Craig attended the 2009 National Sales Meeting in Arizona. And on Wednesday night, they held their awards ceremony. The night started off great, with Craig being named as Rookie of the Year (goal #1 - check). The next award given was for Top 5. Craig was ranked #4! (goal #2 - check). And the final award of the night was for District of the Year. Craig's district won...along with a trip to Cabo in May! What a great night!
I am so proud of you, hon! What a wonderful year of accomplishments! You met and exceeded all your goals this year and nobody deserves this recognition more than you!
