A Little Bit Of Sunshine

When we booked our family trip to California, we had no idea that we would be still experiencing winter in MN.  Last year, we left temperatures that rivaled with those in LA, but this year, we had a winter storm that dropped 10 inches of snow the night before our flight.  Needless to say, we were all anxious to get our trip underway.

Ready for the warm, sunny weather!

Our first evening in CA was spent in the Urgent Care with Jack.

Shortly after arriving at our hotel, he spiked a high fever, which turned out to be a case of strep.

But with a dose of some good antibiotics and the sunshine, our little Honey Badger was back to his old self, just in time to head down to Balboa Island.

On Sunday, the Prentice family all came down to our cottage for brunch.

Jacob, Sophia & Jack enjoyed playing with their cousin, Molly.

After spending some time on the Island on Monday, we headed to Disneyland on Tuesday.

What's a trip to Disney without visiting some of our favorite characters? 

Goofy 

Mickey 

Minnie 

Snow White 

And Tigger

Of course, we had to get some pictures with Nana & Bapa overlooking Fantasy Island 

And take a special ride in a teacup with Daddy 

You can't go all day at Disney without a little rest with Nana 

or enjoying a Mickey Mouse-shaped sucker

And it's not a trip to Disney without a picture in front of Cinderella's Castle

On Wednesday, we rented a pontoon boat and toured the whole Island

then walked down to Marine Street for our evening treat at Tutti Frutti

While Nana and Bapa went up to LA to visit Great Grandma Mozelle, we took the kids down to LaJolla

Sophia didn't care for the stinky seals

but that didn't stop them from exploring the rocks

and enjoying the scenery

And what trip to California would be complete without a visit to Laguna Beach?

We had such a wonderful week in one of our favorite places!

Dreaming of next year already!
