As a kid, I loved the last day of school. It meant warm, sunny days, lemonade, and playing with my friends. As an adult, I've come to learn why parents are less than trilled when the last day of school approaches. It means hot, humid days, overly energetic kids, and playdates, soccer & gymnastics practices to shuffle back and forth from.
Today marked the last day of preschool for Sophia and Jacob. The last day of preschool this year for Sophia, but the last day of preschool forever for Jacob. Next fall, he'll board the bus for kindergarten. How has my oldest baby grown up so fast!?!
But today we took the time to just celebrate their excitement! Saying goodbye to great teachers and friends, and enjoy a picnic at the park with some classmates.
