Back to School

It's hard to believe another school year has started and that Jacob is entering his 2nd year of preschool. This year, he is doing the extended day program...where he attends 2 days a week from 9-2. He has 2 new teachers, 19 other classmates, lots of new activities, and the privilege of eating lunch there!!

For some reason, seeing him off this year was harder than last year. This year, he gave me a quick kiss and set off into his classroom alone. Not once did he look back and Sophia or me. He's getting to be such a big boy.

After school, he was so excited to tell me all about his day. He loved eating lunch out of his new lunch box. He played with several new friends. He got to ride bikes out on the playground. He learned some new songs. And he fell in love with his new teachers. This is going to be a great year!

As for Sophia...she loved the alone time she got at home. The minute we walked in the door from dropping Jacob off, she ran into the playroom and gathered as many of Jacob's toys as she could. She knew it was the time to take advantage of his absence!
